Individual and Group Counseling

Each child will have Individual and Group Counseling which will cover the following components:

  • Counseling issues that the child has developed
  • Short-Term and Long-Term Goals
  • Behavioral and Progress issues
  • General problems and concerns

Residential Group Counseling will meet weekly to address the following: (not limited to)

  • Values/Boundaries
  • Healthy Decision Making
  • Sexual Education
  • Self Esteem
  • Social Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Conflict Resolution (Problem Solving)
  • Study Skills
  • Drug & Alcohol
  • Anger Management
  • Victimization
  • Stress Management
  • Balanced & Restorative Justice Concepts

Specialized Counseling Services

Pathways’ objective for Counseling and Group interventions is to coordinate with supportive counseling strategies to promote responsible individual functioning, to strengthen family, and to increase interpersonal relationships.  Specialized Counseling Services are requested by the county or recommended by Pathways Staff and/or or the referring Psychologist.  Transitional Living Residents are able to receive all specialized counseling services as well.  Description of Services:

  • Grief Counseling Services
  • Sexual Offending Curriculum and Sexual Abuse Curriculum
  • Drug and Alcohol Counseling
  • Family Counseling
